Beachwalk
Take a walk, a run or a bike ride on this 1.5-mile-long concrete walkway that meanders beside the sand on North Beach. Off-limits to motor vehicles, the Beachwalk is a safe, peaceful way to take in the view of the bay while getting some exercise. Photo © Carrie Meyer

North Beach
North Beach is the perfect place for families. Our bay beach is ideal for young children, since it does not have the same strong currents and undertow that occur on the Gulf beaches. Photo © Carrie Meyer

Fish from the North Beach jetty
North Beach, home of Cottages By The Bay, offers several fishing opportunities: the breakwater by the USS Lexington, the jetty on the north end near Dolphin Park, or Marinaville's bait stand and fishing pier on the north end of North Beach near Highway 181. Photo © Carrie Meyer

Corpus Christi Marina
Just across the Harbor Bridge from Cottages By the Bay lies the Corpus Christi Marina, the best place to catch a ride in a boat or catch a fish on a hook. Wednesday evenings come after work hours to watch the start of the local racing fleet's weekly regattas. Best viewing place is from Joe's Crab Shack on the Lawrence Street T-head. Corpus Christi Downtown
There's no better way to take in the beauty of Corpus Christi's Downtown area than from the water. Harrison's Landing on the People's Street T-head offers hourly boat rides on its tour boat, The Japonica. Photo © Carrie Meyer

Texas State Aquarium
The Texas State Aquarium opened its new Wildlife Rescue Center in March 2023 where the public can view where they help injured wild animals. The aquarium’s premiere exhibit, the Caribbean Journey features animals from the Caribbean Sea. Many other animals are on display from our local Gulf of Mexico waters, including sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, rays, birds, fish and coral.
